Clutter: A New Perspective
- Nostalgic Clutter – made up of relics clung to from earlier life.
- Conservation Cutter – made up of things kept because they're useful-even though they're useless to you. (23 glass florist-shop vases)
- Freebie Clutter – clutter of gifts, hand-me-downs and giveaways that aren't used.
- Bargain Clutter – buying unnecessary things because they're on sale.
- Crutch Clutter – things used but shouldn't (ugly, old sweaters or frayed underwear)
- Aspirational Clutter – things owned but only aspired to use (hot glue guns, super high heels)
- Outgrown Clutter – organizational systems/containers that either don't work or stopped using
- Buyer's Remorse Clutter – things you hang hung to because you won't admit you made a mistake.
- One of my readers contributed one of her own - This Could be Important to Someone Someday Clutter - explains itself.
If you've got a few clutter terms to share, I'd love to hear from you!
